National Merit Scholarship Program High school juniors may qualify for National Merit Scholarships by receiving a high score on the PSAT taken in October of the junior year. Juniors need a high selectivity index score in the 99 percentile range. Not all students in the 99 percentile range will be National Merit Semifinalists. Each state has a different cut off for the selection of National Merit Semifinalists. The score for Texas in 2015 is 220, and increase from last year's cut-off of 218. Alex Goberna, winner of DMEA Concerto Competition High School Division, also performed a violin concerto and was accompanied by the DMEA Faculty Orchestra.

LPAC – Language proficiency action committee. 
We monitor students who may need or have been exited from English as a second language services and recommend actions. 

At our campus, we don't have much need for this service, but it is a requirement from DISD that we have such a committee and that it include a parent.  If you would like to be that parent, please contact Steven Hyman.
